Welcome back to The Infinite Life with Katische Haberfield. This season, we are going to delve into the stories that haunted me. Now, these are not stories in terms of books, but they are the stories of people who I have crossed over as ghosts in my early interactions. Some of them you will remember from mediumship sessions that we have covered previously in the podcast. Others I have referred to, but this is the first time that I'll tell you my story associated with it. I'll also be bringing through some of these human beings from the light, their friends, and their higher self to give the authorized version of what happened to them and why they remained behind after their death. So listener discretion is advised as when we review things like these lifetimes, which involve murder, we can tend to sit on the side of justice. But we have to remember that we are souls evolving on a journey. And sometimes we choose interesting incarnations to explore themes and emotions that we'd rather not. Sometimes it's as a result of karma where we decide that we need to experience the opposite perspective, and sometimes it is via choice so that the soul that we incarnated with previously can learn to retrieve components or horcruxes that you left inside them as part of your guilt. So let's get started, shall we? At the end of year 12, my family took me on a holiday in California, United States of America. Coming from Australia one of the notable places we visited and were interested in was Alcatraz Prison in San Francisco. I still vividly remember standing in the solitary confinement cells and partly closing the door to see what it would be like to be alone and in the dark. I did not like it. That was back in 1992. And I don't remember thinking about the prison system in Australia again until it was around 2014 when I was dating a nice man after my divorce and I realized he lived not far from the Boggo Road Gaol at that time. Australia being originally, a place of the First Nations people was invaded by the British, and a convict settlement was developed here before free settlement for the white people. Without going into the blood bath that almost wiped out the original inhabitants of the land. Australia has not retained many physical historical sites like other countries. We have a history of declaring something of historical value protecting it and then at midnight demolishing it in the name of new development. So the Boggo Road Gaol was a piece of history that intrigued me, and I'll admit at the time, creeped me out a little. Boggo Road Gaol has a reputation in Australia for being the Gaol with the worst conditions for its inmates. Many prisoners were hung and buried across the road in the Dutton Park, south Brisbane Cemetery. It is also famously reputed to be haunted with many books written on the subject of Brisbane's haunted and crime stories by Jack Sims. The man and I were both avid photographers. That was the one that I was dating, not Jack Sims, and decided to do a daytime tour of the Gaol, which was run by Jack Sims. We were not brave enough to do the haunted nighttime tour, and I don't even remember discussing the nighttime tour, but the stories Jack told us about the conditions for the inmates made my stomach turn. We learned that the last man to be executed in my home state of Queensland was Ernest Austin, who was hung for the murder of Ivy Mitchell. Boggo Road Gaol was also the former site of a women's prison, so there was a long history of using the site for incarcerations. Over 100 people died on the site, however, only 42 of those were hung for their crimes. I don't think I even knew what ghostly energy was at that time, but I did have to take a few deep breaths and rest against a wall at some stage, and I did take a lot of photos, but sadly I can't show you those because they were lost on a computer somewhere. My next interaction with the Boggo Road Gaol was a little while later when a couple of my school friends from high school invited the gentleman and I for a quick catch up by grabbing a coffee from the markets that are held or used to be held outside of Boggo Road Gaol. In neither of these visits was I aware of any other worldly interactions, but to be fair, at that time, it was still long before I realized that I could interact with ghosts. But the thing is ghosts remember you. They remember your energetic imprint, and they know your future as it is written on your aura. If the timeline is open for you to become a rescue ghost medium, or to help them in some capacity. I'm convinced the ghosts can see the energy colors of your aura, but they feel the energy of your heart. Which tells 'em something about your intentions. In March of 2022, I was driving, it was dark and my two children were in the car. We were driving to debating, and the best route was past the Boggo Road Gaol. Previously when I drove past the area, because there's a cemetery on the left hand side of the road, I had learned to protect myself by invoking a bubble of white light when driving past the cemeteries. And the reason I did this was because I had had ghosts attached to me previously, but on the night that I was driving I forgot to invoke the white light 'cause I was concentrating on getting the kids to debating and I was driving past the Gaol before I knew it. Suddenly something grabbed my throat with such force and it gave me a fright. I simultaneously made a noise like I was being choked. My kids who were in the backseat exclaimed mommy, what's wrong? I can't remember my response 'cause I was trying to process it myself, and drive the car and keep them calm. But I felt like it was a ghost trying to get my attention and I couldn't decide if they were trying to show me that they died by strangulation or if they wanted to scream help me. Interestingly, and as a side note, my children don't remember this interaction. At the very end of March the 31st, I was drawn back to Boggo Road to try and cross over the ghost that had attacked me. It was bold and probably stupid given my lack of experience. However, I had recently interviewed Tina Erwin on my podcast, and she describes herself as a ghost helper. Tina has a book of prayers that you can download and print out and recite out loud. Or she has a prayer recorded on YouTube and an audio book actually as well, just of completely of prayers for helping the dead who have not crossed to the light. So I printed out the crossing over prayer and I was bolstered by a bit of confidence and knowing from Archangel Michael that I was there to help. And this time as my children were away with their father, I headed there back to Boggo Road once more as it's only a seven minute drive from my house. It was a bit gray, overcast, and gloomy when I got there. As a former professional photographer, I took some photos of my phone, but they didn't look so wonderful, so I sat down and got to it, reading the prayer out loud. I could describe the scene to you in detail. It was eerie and there was a wind. There were also animals who scattered towards me, stood and stared at me, and then when the wind blew away they too left as well. I remember the feeling and the photos are almost captured in my mind because I remember thinking, I'm not sure if that did anything. But as Tina had told me that just reciting the prayer out loud would help. I knew that as she was an expert, something must have happened. I never found out who I crossed over that day. However, given the history and the feelings and the emotions that are stored there, there's likely to be someone who's watching down as I record this. In July on the 29th of July.

It's a Friday at 4: 12:18

14 PM I went back to Boggo Road Gaol. I remember the date because I wrote it down in my ghost rescue notes, and because it was the day before my 30 year high school reunion as the weather was beautiful. It was warm and it was sunny. I decided to take some sunset photos at the Gaol. I had been there before at Sunset, and you can capture the sun through the guard tower as it sets, and I wanted to try and recreate the previous photo I had taken when I was dating the nice man. I was also told by Archangel Michael that it would be a good opportunity to try to cross over the other ghosts that had remained at the Gaol. I was a bit surprised at this 'cause I thought that when the ghost attacked me by grabbing my throat, when I drove past back in March to take the kids to debating that the angels had taken that person to the light, but it seemed not otherwise why would he send me there again? So I decided the easiest way to soothe my nerves because the Gaol was closed to tourists during the COVID years was to take some photos. There was also some construction going on for the new metro system, and a big environmental science precinct had been built overlooking the Gaol where people actually worked. So we knew that there were plenty of workers who could look out of their windows and see me strolling around the Gaol. So I felt pretty awkward. When the Gaol was open for tours, there were plenty of people around, but during this time, it was eerily quiet around the Gaol. I walked around the perimeter of the Gaol a couple of times to see if I could sense the energy whilst I waited for the sun to be in the exact spot for my photo. I took a couple of photos, but it wasn't right. The sun was just too high in the sky. Then I sat down and had a think about how I was going to approach this, and I took out my piece of paper on which I had written down the names of the two people that I thought I would encounter. Ivy Mitchell and Ernest Austin, but then put it back in my pocket. I had written down on the piece of paper before I left that I had the feeling that there would be three people waiting for me, but I didn't know who the third would be. Before I knew it, the energy of the ghost was standing right next to me. They seemed to be standing a little way apart from each other, but the energy was so intense that it also kind of felt like they were together. I felt the presence of Ernest first, and the only way I could get him excited about going to the light was that I visualized him having a pint in heaven with his mates and told him that is what he could expect. I was trying not to be scared of who he was.'cause after all, he was a convicted murderer and an alleged rapist. But I had the feeling he would not hurt me in a ghostly form, so I didn't want him to feel my fear otherwise I knew he would not trust me about the angels being able to help him. And he did trust me. As soon as Ernest was gone there was a split second and a whirlwind of energy, which took Ivy to the light.'cause I had heard her whisper. I don't have to go with him, do I? And of course she didn't. So she waited for her own angel and then was gone. The next moment I felt the presence of another unidentified ghost who was feeling to me very matronly. I am not sure if she was a warden or the wife of a warden as it was all over in just a few minutes, but she was also hesitant, and then I felt a specific way to help her understand it was not scary to go with the angels. I showed her a picture in my mind of her sitting in heaven on a big, fluffy white cloud, taking in a silver teapot with a beautifully decorated table. And on the table was a plate with cream biscuits and a delicious sponge cake with jam. And sitting beside her at the table was her beloved cat. And poof, she was off with the angels. I. I sat down and I thought, what just happened? Because it was also fast, but also slow at the same time. And so each of those conversations happened simultaneously, but also in their own pockets of time because I had conversed separately with each of them. But if you were watching me, it would've probably been over and done within a couple of seconds. But it was a huge relief to me to know that Ivy was safe at last and she would not need to reach out to me again that I could from now on drive safely past the Boggo Road Gaol in my daily life without being worried about being attacked, or that there were any other ghosts Still haunting the location. Little did I know. It's not my business to ruin anyone's ghost hunting tourism business, but I have a soul contract to help the earth heal by moving, stuck humans to the light. And therefore I must do what I have to do.'cause when I die, I don't want be stuck here with regret like they were. So. This is why sometimes it takes me a long time to release episodes on my podcast because I have to grapple with the fact that people were related to both Ernest and Ivy and all of the people who were incarcerated in the Boggo Road Gaol. So before I end this episode, I want to tell you that I didn't get to speak to Ivy Mitchell from the afterlife specifically for this version of the podcast, but if you wanna go back to season five, episode seven, when I worked with Meghan, who was at the time, Megan Jones, she did some mediumship sessions for me because it was a period of my life where I was trying to figure out how to prove that I had crossed these ghosts over. The point of these episodes on this part of the podcast is to show you how my skills have developed and how I became confident to communicating with their souls and their selves. But Ivy Mitchell came and talked to us. Through the medium, Megan, who she calls herself the truth seeker or truth seeker now and in season five, episode seven you can listen to Ivy talking through the consciousness of Meghan.

So she she's making me feel like her death was very it was just very out of nowhere, very unexpected. She was taken completely by surprise. And it was very terrifying. Obviously that's she's just making me feel like my nervous system is reacting right now. Like I'm, shaking a little bit. She does keep squeezing on like my throat keeps tightening.
