What happens when a spirit refuses to cross over—and what are the consequences of that choice?
In this episode, Katische Haberfield shares a series of real encounters with spirits connected to Boggo Road Gaol in Brisbane—individuals who followed her home and communicated directly with her as she worked to understand why they had remained.
Through these interactions, Jack Foy, Mike Douglas, Bernard Ralph, and John Hobson reveal their experiences after death, their fears, and the reasons they did not initially move into the light.
One spirit describes seeing the angel after death—and saying no.
Using direct communication and her work in True Crime Channeling, Katische facilitates their release, helping them move on and understand what had been holding them back.
In this episode:

Katische Haberfield (2):This is Katische and you are in the stories that haunted me season, episode three of this particular season. So we've been talking about the human beings who were incarcerated at BOGO Road Gaol and the experiences that I had with them in their ghostly or spirit body form. So the next couple of individuals I'd like to introduce you to I don't have any additional reference information because they declined to comment further than the brief interviews that I have with them here on their experience. They would also rather that you did your own research into their stories because they want you just to hear what they said to me. So on the 21st of November, 2023 I was sitting at the kitchen table sorting my thoughts and notes about the ghosts at BOGO Road Gaol . As I started writing, my cat Max came to let me know there were some ghosts in the house. As soon as I got my pendulum out, the following words were spoken by a male figure. Now, I just wanna put in the preface here, at that point in time, back in 2023, I was using my pendulum a lot for a form of advanced spirit release therapy called appometrics. So I had become a little lazy when it came to communicating directly to Ghosts by Claircognizance and clairaudience. So in this manner, it takes a lot longer. I don't really recommend it. Okay, so this is what Jack Foy said to me."The BOGO Road Gaol was the last place I was incarcerated at." At which point I knew the next few minutes were going to be interesting. Jack was accompanied by a demon as often ghosts who have been around for a while are. I healed the demon for demons are children of source energy as well, but they deny the light. Thanked the demon for doing their work and then was able to speak to Jack freely. Jack told me "I lost track of time. I felt sorry for myself". When I asked him, why now? Why today? He said, "I felt a surge of deep longing to go home". Jack Foy died a free man in 1983, and I guess the question begs why did he become a ghost and what held him back from the light until 2023? And that my friends, is a secret that he takes with him. The next story I have to tell you about my interaction was with Mike Douglas. Same day. And I have written in my notes here, 10:03 AM. As soon as Jack left two demons pretending to be an inmate came forward. I told them that they had done a great job of trying to deceive me and that source loved all beings and sent them divine source energy, love, and they were instantly healed and transported to the light. Mike Douglas initially tried to tell me his name was Frank. However, I explained the purpose of writing the book and focused my comments to him on the fact that I wanted to help ensure that no human beings ever became a ghost, no matter what happened to them in their life. This seemed to give him a sense of release and relief, and he opened up to me. Mike said that when he died, he saw the angel. However, "I said no to the angel". He confirmed that the reason he said no was because he was afraid that he was going straight to hell. And I said to him, well, the thing is where you have been since then is kind of like hell anyway, isn't it? He said, "you are correct". I asked him about his experience during his time as a ghost, and he commented that the Satanic entities were the worst, to which I replied, oh, for me, I find the hell beings the worst. And he said, you are correct. They are the worst. But for me, the personal experience was with Satanic entities. I asked him how the Satanic entities behaved towards him, and he said,"they taunted me and seemed to hurt me with really sharp fingers". I then asked him for his final words to humanity, as he seemed now very keen to cross over, and he said,"avoid becoming a ghost at all costs". And with that he went the light. After that came Bernard Ralph and John Hobson. Seated at the table with me in my kitchen I was aware of and spoke to John Hobson first, and then I felt the presence of a second person sitting at the table. I felt they were connected somehow, almost physically, and John could sense that, and he laughed and he said that it was his parole officer. Naturally, I wondered why his parole officer would be with him, and he laughed and said, "I murdered him". John initially, like the others, gave me a false name, but as soon as I sensed the parole officer, the parole officer confirmed both their names. I asked if John gave me a false name due to his mental health issues, which I had glanced at when Googling the names for confirmation. But Bernard said, "no, not a mental health issue. He's perfectly aware that he gave you a false name. He just doesn't trust anyone". At which point Bernard asked"Must you cross this over together?" to which I replied No. And then he asked to go and he was gone. Shortly thereafter, John said he had nothing to add and also went to Source Energy. Both men were invited back in a healed state to share their story if it appeals to them. So we shall wait and see. And so far they have never come back and they declined to be interviewed further
at 12:20 PM the 22nd of the ninth, 2024. So that was one year later when I invited them back to check and they had declined. So that's the end of their story can be quite simple and quite, I guess, uns sensational. Thank you. So thank you for listening to the stories of Jack Foy, Mike Douglas, Bernard Ralph and John Hobson. And you can go to the BOGO Road Gaol website, and I think there's also a podcast out there. I'm not sure if it's still hosted, but there's an extensive three season in-depth blow by blow study of the Boggo Road Gaol that you can find for yourselves. Namaste.
